U.S. Free Methodist Church Bishop David Roller to speak at Open Arms Community Church

“It’s a tremendous privilege to have the Bishop share with us,” said Pastor Mike McAvoy. “This guy has a ton on his plate of responsibilities and I’m excited to have him share with our people from a birds-eye view what he sees God doing, what he feels the Lord speaking to His people at large, and how we as Open Arms can live out God’s expectations.”

Roller and his wife Yvonne have served for 17 years as Free Methodist missionaries in Mexico, then for 10 years as Latin America area director for Free Methodist World Missions.
In July 2007 he was elected a bishop of the Free Methodist Church, where he oversees the ministry of 11 annual conferences in the eastern area of the United States, as well as the United Kingdom, and the five annual conferences of Latin America.

This Sunday, at 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Open Arms Community Church on East Main Street in Foster Township, Roller will deliver a message to the church.

“The ministry of Open Arms reflects the character and work of Jesus,” Roller said. “You embrace people regardless of how society may have stereotyped them and help them open up to receive a loving God’s best for them and their families. Open Arms is a great example of the mission of the Free Methodist Church: Loving God, Loving people, and making disciples!”

Open Arms is gearing up for their Fall Launch the first weekend in October, which will include the return of Saturday Night Services, and a unique series looking at the paranormal and supernatural.
