Eric B. Horn
Eric B. Horn, 51, of Highland, died Sunday morning (Aug. 31, 2014) at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
Born February 24, 1963, in Smethport, he was a son of Keith and Phyllis Siegel Horn.
Mr. Horn was an avid football player and fan. He succeeded in making the Big 30 in both his junior and senior year playing for Kane High School. Later, he became a loyal Green Bay Packers fan.
He attended college at Mont Alto branch of Penn State and also the Pennsylvania College of Technology, Penn State after which he was employed and eventually part owner of Keith Horn Inc. Consulting Foresters. He worked as a forester for most of his life and was a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters and Society of American Foresters.
Surviving relatives include his father Keith Horn of Kane; two sisters, Kim Horn and Christy Horn, both of Kane; one brother, Keith (Carla) Horn of Corning, N.Y. ; and four nieces and nephews, Nikky Ewing of Kane, Austin (Louise) Ewing of Austin, TX, and Madeline and Christine Horn, both of Corning.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother.
Private services will be held at a future date with burial at Woodland Glade Cemetery on Bois Blanc Island, Michigan.
Memorial donations may be made to the Phyllis S. Horn Memorial Scholarship @ Cummings Funeral Home, Inc., 151 Greeves St., Kane, PA 16735.
