Thomas A. Rizzuti, Sr.

Thomas A. Rizzuti, Sr., 88, of Greensburg, formerly of Bradford, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Redstone Highlands Senior Living Community, Greensburg.

He was born on December 24, 1925 in Bradford, a son of the late Vincent J. and Anna Marie Pepe Rizzuti. On September 5, 1953 in the St. Bernard Rectory he married Patricia L. Johnson who survives. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II.

He was employed by the former Kendall/Witco Refinery as a technician for 44 years until his retirement. He was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Kendall Refinery Quarter Century Club. In addition to his wife of 60 years, Patricia L. Rizzuti, he is also survived by two sons, Thomas A. Rizzuti, Jr. and Timothy L. Rizzuti, one daughter, Jan Marie Rizzuti, four beloved grandchildren, Alyssa Cummings, Sara Rizzuti, Nicholas Rizzuti, Julie Rizzuti and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Rizzuti and three sisters, Marie McGrath, Lorraine Fair, Geraldine Kenyon. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Gramata, pastor of the St. Bernard Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.
