Duke Center, McKean County Ongoing Oil Spill

Visit The Forum Discussion

While the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has recently suggested increasing permit fees; citing fiscal concerns, the agency tries to remain solvent, while the plumes of contamination on the Thomas’ property continue to grow.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection simply does not seem to have the will, and apparently the funding nor the ability to appropriately address this oil field disaster in a timely manner.

These wells are located in McKean County, Duke Center in Otto Twp. Bordering New York State, Knapp Creek contributes to the Allegheny Watershed which flows into New York State before entering back into North Western Pennsylvania.
