Helen K. Micheau, 89, of 108 Wetmore Avenue, Kane, passed away Thursday (December 12, 2013) at Warren Manor in Warren.
Born April 6, 1924, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Verna Tussey Wade. On January 5, 1946, in Kane, she married Clarence W. Micheau who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Micheau, a graduate of the Kane High School, class of 1942, was an active member of the First United Methodist Church where she belonged to the United Methodist Women, the Joanna Circle, and served as a trustee. She also was a member of the choir for forty years.
She was a sales clerk at the former Suzanne Shoppe for twenty-two years and later served as a volunteer at the Salvation Army Thrift Shop for nineteen years.
Surviving are two sons, Gary (Nancy) Micheau of Salem, OR and Randy (Tina) Micheau of Chino Valley, AZ; a daughter, Robin (Bernie) Lundberg of Kane; five grandsons, Eric Lundberg, Troy Micheau, Quinton Micheau, Grant Micheau and Jonathon Micheau; three granddaughters, Carissa Lundberg, Grace Micheau and Cassandra Pettit; and a great granddaughter, Callia Lundberg.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband and parents, was an infant son, Ralph Micheau.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday at the First United Methodist Church, 112 Greeves Street, with the Rev. William R. LaVelle Jr. and the Rev. W. Crai Smith co- officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
