Charles T. “C.T.” Schellhammer

Charles Thomas “C.T.” Schellhammer, 74, of Bradford, died Saturday (Nov. 23, 2013) at Bradford Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

Born March 20, 1939, in Johnstown, he was the son of Charles and Geraldine Glass Schellhammer. On July 30, 1960, in Johnstown, he married Patricia Ann Wonders, who survives. He graduated from high school in Johnstown.

He graduated from DeVry in Chicago, Ill., in 1959, with a degree in engineering. He was the chief executive officer of Camco Circuits until his retirement in 2005. He was a life member of the NRA. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time at The Gun Shop.

Surviving are five sons, Dr. Richard (Mary) Schellhammer of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Michael Schellhammer of Bainbridge, Karl (Teresa Smith) Schellhammer of Bradford, Eric (Lisa Johnston) of Bradford, and Kirk (Marcie) Schellhammer of Smethport; one daughter, Jerrianne (Henry) Chmielefski of Collegeville; grandchildren Maegan (Bryan Bethany) Schellhammer, Lorelei (Phillip) Worland and Kiersten Schellhammer, Joshua, Elizabeth and Jeremy Schellhammer, Thomas, Kasey and Aaron Schellhammer, Sylvia (Brandon) Rethmel, Emily Schellhammer; Matt, Kate, Henry Jr., Sarah, Justin and Joseph Chmielefski; four great-grandchildren, Mariah, Trey and Marcus Rethmel and Phillip Worland Jr.; one brother, Ed Schellhammer of Johnstown; two sisters, Helen Dawson and Dorothy Schellhammer; a sister-in-law, Helene Schellhammer; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ken and Don Schellhammer; and a sister, Betty Lou Kopach.

At C.T.’s request there will be no services. If anyone would like to make a memorial donation in C.T.’s memory, as he would say, “Have at it.”

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mascho Funeral Home Inc.
