Hodgdon, Carole J.

Carole J. Hodgdon, 71, formerly of Field Street, Kane, died late Saturday afternoon, October 26, 2013 at The Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born February 2, 1942 in Kane, she was the daughter of Arthur R. and Margaret M. Wolbert Johnson. She had been married to David E. Hodgdon, whom she married June 15, 1962 in Kane, and who preceded her in death in 2007.
Carole enjoyed reading and writing.
She is survived by four sons, Michael Hodgdon of Durham, N.C., William Hodgdon, John Hodgdon and Joseph Hodgdon, all of Wilcox; three brothers, Richard Johnson and Robert Johnson, both of Kane, and Art Johnson of Kansas City, Mo.; and two sisters, Barbara Faul of Sheffield and Sandra Hogue of Kane. Ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter also survive, plus many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents and former husband, by sisters Patricia Von Arx and Darlene Duck, and a brother, Donald Johnson.
Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane on Tuesday from noon until 2:00, at which time a service will be held there with the rev. David Pflieger, chaplain of The Lutheran Home at Kane, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Callistus Cemetery, Kane.
