Walter J. Nalducci, Jr.
Walter J. Nalducci,Jr. 74, of 510 Janeway Street, passed away Monday (October 7, 2013) at his residence.
Born December 2, 1938, in Bayonne, NJ, he was a son of the late Walter and Florence Bevilacqua Nalducci. On September 8, 1962, at St. Callistus Catholic Church in Kane, he married Anne Varisano who survives.
Mr. Nalducci served in the U.S. Air Force and saw duty stateside and in Guam. He attended St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ and retired as the postmaster of the Kane Post Office.
As an active member of St. Callistus Church, he served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the finance committee. He also belonged to the Kane Elks #329 and the Knights of Columbus Council #715. As a pastime, he enjoyed hunting.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Anne Nalducci, are three children, Walter (Meighan) Nalducci III of Marshall Township, Lynne (Jim) Szewczyk of Providence Forge, VA, and Julie (Andrew) MacIntyre of McKnight; four grandchildren, Walter J. Nalducci IV, Teresa Anne Nalducci, Peter Francis Nalducci and Ella Anne MacIntyre; two brothers, Joseph (Claire) Nalducci of Elizabeth, NJ and Vincent (Beverly) Nalducci of Bayonne; two sisters-in-law, Rose Varisano and Janice Varisano; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were a sister, Andrea Nalducci ; and three infant children, Mary, Joseph and Tina Marie Nalducci who died at birth.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm Wednesday at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where a vigil service will be held at 8:45 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Thursday at St. Callistus with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
Donations, if desired, may be made to the building fund at St. Callistus Church, 342 Chase St., Kane, PA 16735.
