Connie L. Bigley
Connie L. Bigley, 66, of 130 Greeves Street, Kane, and formerly of Duncansville, passed away Tuesday (September 3, 2013) at UPMC Altoona.
Born April 25, 1947, in Duncansville, she was a daughter of Cyril and Cecelia Decker Harker. On August 30, 1985, in Duncansville, she married Thomas L.Bigley who died in 2006.
Mrs. Bigley was a dietary aide at the Kane Community Hospital before her retirement. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church, the small groups at the church and served as a greeter. She also was a long-time member of CD of A Court Callistus #66 and belonged to the Ludlow Fire Department and Auxiliary, the Wildcat Park Association and auxiliary, the Red Hats, and the Friends of K.C.H. She was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.
Surviving are a son, Andrew (Dana) Amrhein of Altoona; two stepsons, Jerry (Dawn) Bigley of Kane and Stephen (Sheila) Bigley of Taftville, CT; a stepdaughter, Linda (Jeff) Kinney of Kane; a brother, Eugene Harker of Bellwood; a sister-in-law, Karen Bigley of Kane; a brother-in-law, Ken (Marie) Bigley of Centerville; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and three nieces and nephews. She also is survived by her lifetime friend Janet Musselman of Newton Hamilton.
Preceding her in death, in addtion to her husband and her parents, was her daughter, Rebecca Amrhein; and her first husband, Allen Amrhein.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Monday at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Roses Cemetery in Marienville.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Callistus Organ Fund, 342 Chase St., Kane, PA 16735.
