Kane - William W. Perry, Jr., 70, of 30 Birch Street, Kane, died
Wednesday morning, December 28, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Oil City.
Born July 16, 1941 in Kane, he was the son of William W. and Betty Powell Perry. On
February 14, 1970 in Kane, he married Christine A. Nevel, who died April 15, 1999.
Bill graduated from Kane Area High School in 1959 and later served in the National
Guard until 1975. He was a sales representative for Stackpole Corp. in Kane and St. Marys
for over thirty-five years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kane, where he served on
various committees, was an usher and belonged to the Methodist Men. He also was a former
member of the BPO Elks #329 in Kane, the Kane Fire Department, and served on the School
Board and Boro Council, both in Kane.
Surviving are a daughter, Amanda Perry of Oil City; a brother, Geoffrey Perry, Sr. of
Kane; his grandson Brayden William Evans, and his former wife, Patricia Lindquist, plus
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his wife, by his parents.
Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday from 10:00
until noon, at which time a service will be held there with the rev. William LaVelle,
pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Kane and the rev. W. Craig Smith, pastor of
the Mt. Jewett / Hazel Hurst United Methodist Churches, co-officiating. Interment will be
in Nebo Cemetery in Mt. Jewett following cremation.
