Roger J. Klaiber Sr. KANE Roger J. Klaiber Sr., 73, of 24 Old State Road, Kane, passed away Sunday (December 30, 2012) at UPMC Hamot. Born april 12, 1939, in St. Marys, he was a son of the late Howard and Helen Simbeck Klaiber. On January 8, 1966, in Kane, he married Sandra Jones who survives. A 1957 graduate of Kane High School, Roger worked at Stackpole for fifteen years and later for the PA. Department of Transportation, from which he retired in 2001, after thirty years of service. Mr. Klaiber was a lifetime member of the BPOE # 329 and enjoyed bowling, hunting, horseshoes and NASCAR. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Sandra Klaiber, are two sons, Roger Klaiber Jr. and Todd (Denice) Klaiber both of Kane; three granddaughters, Heidi Klaiber, Elisabeth Klaiber and Grace Klaiber; two grandsons, Nathan Klaiber and Steven Klaiber; a brother, Joseph Klaiber of Kane; two sisters, Helen Adams and M. Cathy Golden, both of York; and nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death, besides his parents, were two brothers, Robert Klaiber and Francis Klaiber. Friends will be received from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M Wednesday at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc.. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday with the Rev. Milton Jones, pastor of the Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Free Methodist Church, 317 Bayard Street, Kane, PA 16735, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences can be expressed at www.cummingsfh.com
