Robert Scott Dunkle, 47, of 217 Dawson Street, died Tuesday (February 14, 2012) at his residence. Born October 11, 1964, in Bucks County, he was a son of Richard Dunkle and Barbara Stanley Dunkle Miller. He was married to Connie Snyder who survives. Before becoming disabled over twelve years ago, he had been a sawmill operator. Robert belonged to the First Church of God and was a former member of both the Kane Eagles and the Kane Moose Lodge. A loving husband and father, Robert is survived, in addition to his wife Connie of Kane and his father, Richard Dunkle of Florida, by two daughters, Jessica and Megan Dunkle; two sons, Ryan and Robert McClellan; two grandchildren, Izic and Jayden McClellan; two brothers, Scott Dunkle of Kane and Richard Dunkle of Tennessee; a sister, Amanda Miller of Erie; his stepfather, Reb Miller of Kane; his stepmother, Diane Dunkle of Florida; and several aunts, uncle and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Miller; and three younger brothers, Jamie, Michael and Jason Dunkle who died during his childhood years. While Robert struggled with addiction during some of his later years, he had been clean and sober for one year preceding his death. Friends may attend a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the First Church of God, 204 N. Fraley Street with the Rev. Chad Troup, pastor, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to help cover expenses may be made in Robert’s memory to Connie Snyder, 217 Dawson St., Kane, PA 16735. The Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.cummingsfh.com.
