Smethport - Paula Jean Trulick, 64, of Smethport, died Tuesday (September 18, 2012) in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born Oct 31, 1947 in Bradford, a daughter of Paul E. and Dorothy L. Coburn Groce. On July 7, 1967, in Sawyer Evangelical Church, Bradford, she married Lawrence "Larry" J. Trulick, who survives.

Mrs. Trulick was a 1965 graduate of Bradford High School and attended Clarion University. She worked as a licensed Real Estate agent, and then worked for Kahle and Hartle Law office as a title abstractor.

She was a former member of the United Methodist Church of Smethport. She was one of the initial members that volunteered at the start of the Smethport Area Ambulance Service. She started out in S.A.A.S on a first aid card, then gained certification in C.P.R. and became an instructor. She then was a certified E.M.T. and also was an E.M.T. instructor teaching several classes in the area. She was also a member and past president of the former Smethport BPW, the Smethport Women's Club and the Smethport Band Boosters. She enjoyed reading and knitting.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by one daughter: Barbra Jean Trulick of Smethport, PA one son: Jeffrey L. (Michele Gomez) Trulick of Baltimore, MD grandson, Adam G. Trulick; Granddaughter, Catarina A. Trulick two sisters: LuAnn (Mark) Kloss of Lewis Run, PA, Margie (Doug) Wagner of Rew, PA one brother: Thomas (Bonnie) Groce of Bradford, PA Mother in Law: Florence Trulick; two sisters in law: Shirley Burkhouse and Linda Trulick, all of Bradford One Aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, an infant sister and Aunts and Uncles.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 23, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport. Funeral and committal services will be held on Monday, Sept. 24, at 11 AM, from the funeral home, with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette .

Memorials, if desired, can be made to the McKean County SPCA or the Hamlin Memorial Library, Smethport. Online condolences can be made at www.hartle-tarboxfuneralhomes.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Smethport.
