Roulette - Gloria M. Pino Obleski, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great
grandmother, 78, of Roulette, passed away Monday (January 9, 2012) in Charles Cole
Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, after a brief illness.
She was born March 12, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY, a daughter of
the late Vincenzo G. and Raffaele Pellegrino Pino. On August 20 1954, in Niagara Falls,
NY, she married Bert M. Obleski, who survives. They were married 57 years.
Mrs. Obleski attended schools in Niagara Falls, NY, and was a graduate of Trott Vocational
High School, Niagara Falls. She worked at Sears and Roebuck and Hooker Chemical Company in
Niagara Falls.
She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Roulette and the Roulette Catholic
Women's Club. She was a loving mother and her concern for family was a significant part of
her life, proving to be a constant source of guidance, caring, generosity and love.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by:
three sons: Bert M. (Glynna Baker) Obleski of Denver, CO, Michael J. (Carol) Obleski of
Evergreen, CO, and James M. (Rebecca) Obleski of Port Allegany, PA
8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren
One brother: James Pino of North Carolina
One sister: Dora (Gerardo) Franciosa of Florida
Several nieces, nephews and cousins
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son; four sisters, Antoinette (late
Tony) DeMartino, Josephine (late Samuel) Fruscione, Ida (late John) Nicholson and Pearl
(late Charles) Cirrito, one brother Albert V. Pino.
There will be no public visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian
Burial on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012 at 11:00AM in St. Gabriel's Church with the Rev. Charles
R. Schmitt and the Rev. Joseph Dougherty, as con-celebrant. Burial will be in the Card
Creek Cemetery, Roulette Twp.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer
