Charles R. Hogue, 69, of 35 Babcock Road, passed away, Wednesday, December 28th, 2011
at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born June 18, 1942, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Gerald E. and Erma A. (Avery)
Hogue.
On August 4, 1962 in Allegany, NY, he married Elaine M. (Dinger) Hogue who survives.
Mr. Hogue was a 1960 graduate of Bradford High School. He had worked at Kendall-Witco
Refinery for 31 years and then for Graham Packaging. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing
and bowling. He was an avid wine maker and enjoyed working in his garden and around his
house. He loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 49 years he is survived by three daughters: Susan (Joel)
Mong, Sherrie (Scott Bennett) Hogue, and Lynn (Joe) Lamberson all of Bradford; one
son,Scott (Amanda) Hogue of Broadway, NC; two sisters, Nancy Hogue of Altoona, and Linda
(John) Coles of Cottonwood, AZ; a sister in law, Cathy Hogue of Anderson, SC, ten
grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his parents, one brother Bruce Hogue who died December 27, 2011 and one grandson
Nicholas Hogue.
Friends are invited to call on Friday, December 30, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00pm in the
Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main St., where funeral and committal services
will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, December 31st, with Rev. Robert Brest, Pastor, of the
First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
