Stanley V. Bizzak, 87, formerly of 412 Elk Avenue in Kane, died Saturday afternoon, September 22, 2012 at The Lutheran Home at Kane, where he was a resident.
Born December 1, 1924 in Lamont, he was the son of John and Mary Cehovin Bizzak. On February 9, 1952 in Kane, he married Alice A. Stark, who died January 11, 1998.
Mr. Bizzak owned and operated S.V. Bizzak Sand & Gravel for many years, retiring in 1983; and was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church in Kane.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (Bruce) Payne of Kane; a son Victor (Pam) Bizzak of Kane; a stepson Stark (Virginia) Shrubb of St. Marys; and two brothers, Lewis Bizzak of Kane and Edward Bizzak of Pittsburgh. Twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death, besides his wife and parents, by a stepson Stanford Shrubb, a sister Mary Grolemund, and brothers Frank, Joseph, Max, John and Emil Bizzak.
Friends may call at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday at St. Callistus Catholic Church with Father Thomas Brown, pastor of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Eldred, as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Callistus Cemetery, Kane.
