Vocal ensemble holiday concert planned at Pitt-Bradford Dec. 4 PDF Print E-mail

BRADFORD, Pa. - The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford's Vocal Arts Ensemble will present a free holiday concert at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 4, 2012 in the KOA Speer Electronics Lobby of Blaisdell Hall.

The ensemble will perform a varied program that includes traditional carols and Christmas standards. The program, which is free and open to the public, is part of the university's Spectrum arts series.

Students featured during the performance will be soprano Selese Huth, a writing major from Tionesta, singing "White Christmas"; tenor Gregory Mirth, an environmental studies major from Erie, singing "Voi che Sapete" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; tenor Matthew Tuzynski, an interdisciplinary arts major from Clarks Mills, singing "By the Light of the Silvery Moon"; and tenor Trey Knott, a sports medicine major from Warren, singing The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby."

A brief sing-along of traditional carols will conclude the program.

Regina Gabriel will serve as accompanist. Other students in the ensemble are Nyssa Brumagin, an interdisciplinary arts major from Warren; Richard Knott, an interdisciplinary arts major from Olean, N.Y.; Falon Ljunggren, an interdisciplinary arts major from East Stroudsburg; Ashley Prylinski, a sport and recreation management major from Lake City; Colin Sullivan, a broadcast communications major from Olean, N.Y.; and Ashley Wilson-Rew, an interdisciplinary arts major from Harrisburg.
