Route 219/Bradford Bypass Project Update for Week of March 15 PDF Print E-mail
Posted by Bradford Today

Clearfield – PennDOT issues the following travel update for the Route 219/Bradford Bypass project in McKean County.

This update is for the week of March 15. All work is weather and schedule dependent. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College is the contractor on this $28 million job.

Southbound and northbound lanes of Route 219 from Elm Street to Hillside Drive in New York State are restricted from 2 lanes to 1 lane in each direction. The passing lanes are closed for crossover construction.
• Access at Hillside Drive is restricted from Route 219 north to Hillside Drive and from Hillside Drive to Route 219 south. Traffic is to follow the posted detours.
• The contractor will be placing pavement at crossovers, installing guiderail and temporary concrete median barrier on the southbound lanes.
• Drivers should use extra caution while entering the construction area from the on-ramp areas. Watch for slow moving and stopped vehicles through the entire work zone and obey posted speed limits.

PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
