Feral Cats Being Trapped By East Main Area Residents While Langella's Have Personal
Situation In The News
It's began. East Main Street area residents are beginning to trap feral cats and take
them to the SPCA at the same time one of the parties involved in the case, Ron and Cathy
Langella undergo a personal situation that involved charges being filed against Cathy for
allegations of
assaulting her husband Ron... (Read More)
With the Langella's personal situation aside, the feral cat situation deals with a
topic dear to the hearts of many, not just here in Bradford but all across the world. The
fair and humane treatment of animals. The city has chosen to go on a path that is proven
to be less effective or humane to the animals and more costly in the long run. This
Article explains how Trap-Neuter-Return method works better, cost less and is more humane
to the animals all at the same time... ohh and how feral cats are NOT a health risk to
humans as
many people mistakenly believe.
Stray cats are a nuisance to people, they should be dealt with appropriately (like any
nuisance), but what they are not is a health risk. How many nuisances do smart, educated
people go through every day where they come to a right and humane way to deal with these
issues in their lives? Dogs are a nuisances, birds, squirrels, (around here in Bradford)
bears are just a few animals that get on peoples nerves all the way up to neighborhood
kids, teenagers and even other adults who's actions are probably 98% more likely to be a
health risk to humans than any animals.
| How do we deal with these nuisances? We do it
in a smart, humane way. Not with the gung-ho, 'kill-em all and let god sort them out'
attitude. We all see human life as being more precious than animals and I think that is
the reason we have people that consider taking this route to solve a problem like this.
No one considers that the poor animals are just trying to survive in a world they
probably didn't want to be in, a world that became their reality, most likely because of
the actions of humans. |
