US Constitution Doesn't Apply In Seneca Nation PDF Print E-mail

By Bradford Today, on Monday, 12 November 2007

A mother, a US citizen has lost her 4 year old child Marissa who is also a US citizen and both are not a Seneca Nation Indian nor do they reside on the reservation but a tribal court that does not have to follow the same constitutional or legal laws as the rest of us in the US has unfairly and unjustly sided with the father who IS a Seneca Indian.

The court was unfairly biased in the fathers behalf because he is an Indian and the mother wasn't, so her case was disregarded, she had to follow rules the father didn't in the court room and was unfairly limited in presenting her case while the father wasn't.

I ask this question...

Is this system or ruling any different than that of one of a unfair communist country, a dictatorship or middle eastern country ran by a Royal Family that favors the man over any woman no matter what the case may be?

Only with this case they discriminate against anyone who's not an Indian also. I don't know what the case here is, they could argue that they DIDN'T discriminate against her because she's NOT an Indian but then it looks like they unfairly favored the father simply because he's the man.

If they say that's not the case then it definitely looks like they did it because she's not an Indian. If the say they didn't do that either then it looks like they are simply not telling the truth... they don't have to, they are a sovereign nation who can act any way they want and as long as they have the support of the other members they can disregard any US laws they want to without any consequences.

The Seneca Nation of Indians Peacemakers Court consists of a court of individuals who do not need a formal education, do not need a law degree, and do not have to know anything outside their tribal laws.

You hear the stories of some family that has lost a child to some middle eastern country who unfairly ruled that the child be given to the father simply because he's the man or the crazy unfair laws they have and you think your a million miles away from something like this but this is a wake up call that there is an incompetent foreign nation right next to us here in Bradford. In only a few minutes drive you can be in a place that the US constitution doesn't apply and your civil rights can be disregarded and you have no way to get justice if the powers that be decide to discriminate against you for some reason.

The family of the girl that was taken by the Seneca Nation of Indians say the girl would rather be at home with her mother and siblings and they feel she is being held hostage. They say she was taken away from the only home and the only family that she has ever known and made to stay against her will.
