Hiking the Marilla Bridges Trail around the Reservoir PDF Print E-mail

By Stony, on Monday, 03 November 2008

(photo: Ducks in the newly filled reservoir)

This past Sunday was an unusually warm November second.  My wife Pam, my grandson Maddox and our dog Sadie all took an enjoyable hike on the Marilla Bridges Trail, that goes around the Marilla Reservoir just west of Bradford PA on rt 346 AKA West Washington Street.

Some people are confused about the name of the trails at Marilla. They hear "Marilla Bridges Trail", "Marilla Springs Trail", and "The White Pine Trail".

Maybe I can clarify the confusion a bit.

According to TACF, the lab analysis of samples confirms that the Rimrock trees are 100% American chestnut trees, with no sign of blight.
