They are supposed to be men of god. Above the normal failings of humans. For you to forgive them as 'being human' only shows your hypocrisy.

Do you or do you not continue to support a church & religion that has condoned for hundreds of years the violence, abuse, kidnappings that the catholic church has perpetrated and continues? On the one hand, I don't see how the Papal matters of anyone not Catholic matters.
On the other hand, if the Catholic church has deep influence on our politics, policies, (abortion, gay marriage,), then it is a concern of everyone.
Politics was born of religion.

Shadow, I have matters that are in conflict with my church, thus I do not receive communion. However I still attend weekly and am a member. As far as abortion goes, that is the law of the land. As far as marriage goes, the states have the right to make marriage laws. Again the law of the land in each state. As far as the pedophiles go, I would castrate them all and form a choir with them. Anything else you need from me.

The Catholic church does hold some influence over the issues I mentioned. I know, b/c I also attend mass.
