Gary, I accept your apology.
But I don't have a "perfect" Democratic Party. Far from it!
At best all we have is something slightly better than a bunch of crazy Republicans running the place!
The best we can hope for is throwing yet more Republicans out of the House of Representatives and the Senate in 2014 and then anointing Hillery as the next president in 2016.
The lunatic Republican party is doing their best to see that that happens!
Our party in not perfect yet .... we need someone WAY to the left of Obama!

We certainly do NOT need hillery rotten and we need to purge the whole lot of them- dems and repubs. We need some people that know how we live not a bunch of lifers that don't give a rats ass about us. You can rant all you want about your wonderful dems but they are no better than any of the idiots in Washington. We need to stop the foreign aid and use that money to bail this country out of debt, bring our troops home and guard our borders.

One thing is for certain, I am positive the residents of Minnesota or Missouri are not behind these Bills, even if politicians from these states are. The only Bill i want my state representative behind is the Bill of Rights! I would say expect to see copy cat legislation follow in more states (look at NY) from career politicians who are pandering to liberal special interest groups, and most likely following a 'Blueprint' handed down from the Obama administration. This may be the boost that the GOP has been looking for, and ironically, they will get it from Democrats!

Democrats in the state House have proposed a bill that would force gun owners to either surrender or destroy weapons including semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines and semi-automatic pistols with a fixed magazine that can shoot more than 10 rounds before being reloaded.
Who was it that stated that the government wasn't going to take guns away? The above statement now applies to multiple states.

Did you even read the proposals Flash?
According to the bill, anyone who, on February 1, 2013, legally owns or is in possession of an assault weapon has until September 1, 2013, to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution under Minnesota Statutes, section 624.7133:
1.remove the weapon from the state; 2.surrender the weapon to a law enforcement agency for destruction; 3.render the weapon permanently inoperable; or 4.if eligible, register the weapon as provided in Minnesota Statutes, section 624.7133, subdivision 5. The rule would also apply to anyone who receives the weapon as an inheritance.
Anyone who owns a gun classified as an "assault weapon" prior to the Feb. 1, 2013 cutoff may keep the weapon provided that the owner registers it, submits to a background check, keeps the weapon locked up and submits to an inspection by authorities.
IF you have an assault weapon, you have the choice to sell it out of state or register it! Just like you have to register your car every year. You can still OWN the weapons .... they just have to be registered is all. Same as full auto weapons have been for all these years.
They are not jailing gun owners who follow the law and they are not collecting guns to demolish. They will only demolish the guns if you willingly turn them in for that purpose.

Stony..... Sometimes you make me sick. This is nothing that should EVER happen in a so called "land of the free". How dare you act like it's "reasonable". From now on, your free speech will have some commonsense restrictions. You are still allowed to speak and do what you want, but it must first be recorded in the privacy of your home where nobody except federal agents can hear. The recording must then be sent in for editing and registration, and at this point will be mailed back for distribution in typed form or as part of a conversation.
