Maybe they weren't purchased legally after all. Maybe he just killed his mother. It took three days for them to decide he used an AR instead of some pistols, I wonder what else they decided in that time.

George Uzar, Sr.. Somehow extended family of Christopher Rodia who, as we go full circle, owned the car Adam Lanza reportedly took from his mother to travel to the massacre. George is currently serving a long prison term for manufacturing automatic assault rifles. The mayor quoted “‘Scary’ Amount of Firearms Found in Raid on Norwalker’s House”. He was manufacturing fully automatic rifles and selling them to members of the Latin Kings. Apparently he snitched because he was arrested then a few days later the whole rest of the organization went down. Articles to his weapon manufacturing below. His son George Jr. was also arrested when the house was raided because of marijuana and a stashed .38 pistol.

George Uzar Sr. is referred to in several counts of the indictment. He is accused of unlawful dealing in firearms and four counts of illegally possessing and transferring a machine gun. George Uzar and others arrested Thursday were arraigned in U.S. District Court in Bridgeport that day.
http://norwalk.patch.com/articles/norwalker-in-group-of-15-arrested-on-federal-drug-and-firearms-chargesSo the guy who had been driving the car registered to Chris Rodia is in prison for huge quantities of illegal arms sales, Chris Rodia is nowhere to be found, there were at least 2 other people seen in or near the school, one of which was never located, and the car was just left sitting out front with some type of long gun in the trunk? I can't even begin to say what DID happen, but it's pretty clear what DIDN'T.
