I just read the error riddled article in the Era today about the Foster Township budget. After weeding through several errors, it still seems that 1. they spent less of the taxpayers money this year than last, and 2. their millage rate is holding at an unbelievable 5 mills!

Yes, their sewage rate is going up to almost what we pay in Bradford, BUT who wouldn't rather pay 5 mills than 16.2 mills?

And if you can believe anything written in the Era, it seems Foster Township did it without borrowing large volumes of money!

On a side note, I hope the critics of this site, BT, are as critical or hard on the ERA when they print inaccurate news reports.

As of January 1, Officer Mike Thomas started his position in the Foster Township Police Department as a Lieutenant. I like the title of this post and thanks Stony for starting it. One of the things Foster Township has is its dedicated employees. Everyone of them cares about Foster Township and the taxpayers they serve and Mike is no different. So Mike congratulations in your new role as a Lieutenant for the Foster Township Police Department. Keep up the good work and be save out there.
