By my calculations, the tax increase that city hall has brought us with this 5 plus million dollar bond and its associated spending spree will cost us taxpayers around
$346,000.00 a year , for the next
26 years! (on top of existing expenses.) Almost
9 million dollars , for a town of 8400 people? with nearly half of them on assistance? This is just the portion of the tax increase to cover the bond payment. This doesnt include regular budget items, pay raises, future loans or past interest owed. I would say that with math like this we could have used that new financial manager a little sooner... Kind of reminds me of one of those "win a shopping spree" contests.
