So glad we have YOU to explain the posts of others. Your knowledge is underwhelming! (That's me being sarcastic!)

Zen was being factual. If everyone drives appropriately there is no need for guardrails, anywhere.

Then toss in the occasional mechanical failure or inadvertent slight human error and suddenly additional safety features become desired lifesavers.

It might be a case of semantics. The state now calls them "guide rails" I think. Perhaps you're asking for the wrong thing.

If we put up solid guard (or "guide") rails from City Line to Corridon Hotel with no breaks anywhere, we should be able to reduce these incidents greatly.

Well, here's the problem with that. The fact is not everyone drives appropriately out there. Way too many people drive past the Marilla Reservoir like raging A-holes!

What is most needed in my humble opinion, is a police presence out there.

Nah, I'm OK without any additional safety features.

Yes! Hunting is allowed in and around the hiking trails at Marilla. I once objected to it and recommended they ban hunting on and near the trails, but I was laughed at.

Apparently the desire to allow hunters to kill animals with guns, overrules common sense, and the safety of people (hikers).

Although I don't hunt anymore, I do know enough not to go hiking during hunting season. And if I were going hiking I would be dressed in bright orange from head to toe.

This is exactly why no state should allow sunday hunting.

There are currently 11 states that ban Sunday hunting.
