"Great minds think alike".

I guess that C5 is one of the 'detractors' who have to argue EVERYTHING that appears on BT, especially the posts by Citizen and I.

They hate the fact that literally hundreds of people a day read BT. So "they" go around town trying to discredit it.

Let's see ol' C5 deny that there are welfare recipients in town who are covered in tattoos! THAT they haven't addressed yet! "Taxpayer funded tattoos" lets see somebody fact check that one!

Or maybe storm chaser C5 only deals with weather related facts!

Super storm Sandy- PROOF of global climate change!

"A storm so powerful, it was taking down trees in BRADFORD PA while it was still hundreds of miles off the coast of North Carolina"!

Perhaps C5 can offer an alternate version of why this particular tree fell?

Calm down Phantom! It will be alright!

Here are a couple solutions .......

1. You can get a henna tattoo that doesn't require electricity to apply.

2. You can get a temporary tattoo you can purchase at the dollar store (my personal preference!).

3. You can fake a minor injury and when they mercy flight you to Erie you can simply leave the hospital (with your faked hang-nail) and go get your tattoos in Erie where presumably they still have power.

And as dreaded as it may seem, you can always wait until the power is back on to get your tattoos! Just imagine how many people in Bradford have to wait each and every month 'til their checks come in, to get their new tattoos? It's a regular monthly ritual to some folks!

Bradford will survive this! Drug sales, and tattooing will go on! Our fair city will survive!

It's the chaos of global weather systems. High pressure block off of Greenland. A Tropical system formed off the coast of Africa. That turned into a hurricane in the Carribean. Moved up the East coast and sucked West by a deep low pressure system out of Canada. These are all weather phenomenons that occur any place on the Earth and not because of Global Climate Change. By the way 'where is Al Gore" when you tree huggers need him?

C5, I don't know why you are so set on arguing the facts about this? You would only have an argument if some other known force took this tree down, like a car or truck hitting it, or somebody hooking a chain to it and pulling it down.

But the FACTS are that Sandy was in fact here in Bradford at the time the tree fell down due to a combination of wind and rain. Yes it was a dead tree to begin with, but it was soaked with rain, and there were gusting winds at the time.

But this was not the ONLY tree in the Bradford area to come down because of Sandy, there were others also.

Actually it was the outer parts of the storm that affected Bradford the worst. As the center of the storm got closer to us (yesterday late afternoon and evening) the weather got better and the winds subsided.

You tried arguing, and you lost this one! Give it up!

Tattoo free? That is a good thing! Good job! I'm assuming you found another way to remember your children's names? Or the names of your mom and dad, or your grandparents!

Climate change or whatever, our weather has been changing progressively over the last dozen or so years, and markedly in the last several. We now accept severe weather events almost as 'the norm'. The sun is significantly hotter for a given time of day, the weather shifts are more dramatic when warm meets cold. and the seasons are less predictable. I dont like it.

Stony, you can't fault C5 here, he lives in a different reality than we do. It's actually fun to encounter someone like this. Hey C5, do they have “NASA” in your dimension? If so, does it stand for “Not Accepting Science Anymore” or what else, if it even exists at all? It's so interesting to learn more about those folks who live in alternate realities. Just interesting.

Meteorologists will tell you that this is all normal, that you can look through history (since they started keeping records) and see these same climate shifts. They happen, and they correct themselves.

When they were first talking about this storm hitting PA they compared it to a storm back in '91, so it's not uncommon, just now we have a 24/7 news cycle and they have to fill space. That space is usually filled with something that will scare you so that you stay tuned.

In the event of a storm where there is potential for large scale damage, I'd rather that they overplay it anyhow. People who normally would not be prepared are scared into being prepared. This way, if the $h!t does hit the fan more people have a chance of surviving and in the case of a Katrina aftermath, there is less of a chance of thievery and looting because people have what they need.
