Is there an ongoing international drug trade being ran right here in the Tuna Valley? Neena Hallock addressed the drug problem last evening at the City Council meeting. She informed the public that the Trinidadian man from New Jersey that has connections with some local Trinidadians and "Locals" was seen at the Country Fair within the last six months. This is the same man that coordinated the mule trip that our daughter was arrested for in Trinidad on international drug trafficking! Is this man still coordinating trips out of Bradford? The Mayor publicly acknowledged that he assisted Neena Hallock in a concerted effort to release our daughter successfully and our family has held a gratitude of debt for that honorable action. For the last 5 years we have held records of who, what, when and where - no authorities have shown any interest!

Wait, daughter is a mule, gets busted and the mayor wastes time and money getting the criminal mule off?

Patton, thank you for printing this, this is waaay more info than the Era printed concerning this issue. One tiny paragraph buried on the back page with the "also rans". coincidence..? Also zero coverage of the council meeting by another source who normally covers them? (usually on the same night) Rumor has it that there were some double takes and dirty looks at that meeting...

Flashback . . the drug trade here in Bradford is well fed due to an overabundance of single mothers who are socioeconomically depressed. Weather it be from the 219 pipeline or the ever more sophisticated International drug lords who lure poor single mothers with a promise of $5,000 tax free dollars and an all expense paid vacation. The interchange of communications between the friends and officials who came to my aid to help when my daughter was imprisoned in Trinidad, made their point by highlighting the fact that it was their children who came to our town and seduced our children. The problem today is that this same drug ring is still alive and well in Bradford after five years. I was "enlightened" by the Mayor at the city hall meeting that you simply can not phone "tips" in about your neighbor and expect any real action to be taken. I have been told for five years that "It takes time". Five years ago while I worked closely with a DEA agent from Buffalo, NY and a DEA agent in Trinidad, they were receiving much more then a "tip" about this drug ring. Still . . . same faces have been seen in town ....same players still living a good life. I guess it's still under investigation???

As I understand it, the Pennsylvania State Police, as well as the Bradford Police, are not opposed to receiving tips on suspected drug activity. I say that if 5 years isnt enough time to gather evidence, then harrass them until they leave. Make life miserable for these lowlifes, no one will complain. Most neighborhood residents know who these actors are. I also have to say that Stony was right, he called this situation exactly quite some time ago.

The drug trade in Bradford is a lot older than 5 years. Decades old. I know this because I knew someone caught up in it back then. It was rough and people died. The players may have changed but drugs have been in Bradford for a long, long time.

In defense of the police let me say I've talked with some state police officers where I live and have been close friends with two of our last three police chiefs. They have a active task force involving undercover officers from several police departments. They tell me they can get the street peddlers pretty easily but they are quickly replaced. To work up through the chain to the leaders and to break the distribution network takes many years of undercover work. Citizen tips are vital but they understand citizens become frustrated when they don't see immediate results. Here, at least, when we do see results it's in the form of a sweep netting 20 or more including somehigher ups. Then we don't see much for a few more years while they build cases against the next batch.

The people behind the drug trade live far away. They think nothing of putting up a $100K bail and telling the perp to jump bail. The loss is just a minor business expense to them. If the perp is well connected they don't want to risk his turning against them. If he's done something really stupid to get caught, they may want him out to make sure he never makes another mistake. He can be replaced. It's a never ending battle.

Keep submitting those tips. As much detail as possible. Keep pressing to get the street peddlers off the street. But don't expect to eradicate the drug trade completely. As long as there are customers, the dealers will keep coming back.

Why are the young girls pushing a stroller with a mixed race kid walking? No car, could that be? The thug in the era said he lives off women.

Don't mean to sound like a bleeding heart liberal-- God forbid!-- but the mixed race children are the innocent ones here. My pastor told me years ago that these children are often more beautiful and intelligent than others, because their gene pool is wider. I've found it to be true.

Too bad for them-- and us-- that they have such sires and dams!

I think somebody has been peeing in the Bradford gene pool for quite a long time! Bradford's gene pool also has more than a few turds floating in it! LOL!

This is nothing about the mothers or children, but where is the CYS and the court system on tracking down these dads and making them pay child support? I knew one African American who bragged about fathering 5 kids in Bradford with 5 different mothers. Perhaps he wouldn't have thought it to be so funny if he were made to pay child support for all his bastard offspring.

I know several local guys who were tracked down and made to pay child support, do they go after all these Buffalo transient fathers as well?
