The Worst was in the police report section in Thursday's Era. Woman breaking into a home to steal pizza rolls, and something about a feminine pad being touched! Only in Bradford!

Well to be fair, I'm sure she figured two 13 year olds equalled one 26 year old!

Pa. lawmaker wants ban on human branding of minors
Read more here: http://www.centredaily.com/2012/10/07/3 ... rylink=rss#storylink=cpy

The Associated Press YORK, Pa. — A central Pennsylvania lawmaker says a father's plea has prompted him to propose a ban on human branding procedures on young people.Rep. Keith Gillespie said the measure was prompted by his conversation with the father of a 14-year-old boy who branded himself twice on the torso with a red-hot three-inch nail under the instructions of an 18-year-old during a sleepover.Gillespie, R-York, told The York Dispatch ( http://bit.ly/Thh0QH) that the action, which the 14-year-old's parents discovered several days later, left third-degree burns on the boy. The father approached the lawmaker after learning that nothing in Pennsylvania law bars branding of young people without parental consent, he said."Anyone who has had this done to them is essentially physically marked for life, in addition to having had to undergo what I can only imagine to be a very painful experience," Gillespie said in announcing the bill. The measure would amend the criminal code regarding tattooing and body piercing of a minor without consent of a parent, making the offense a third-degree misdemeanor for a first offense and a second-degree misdemeanor if a second offense is committed within a year."This is a dangerous practice that needs to be outlawed," Gillespie said.

----------------------

Ok, so we have a law against tattooing and piercing minors ... but Branding was still OK?

So all we can do now to minors is cut their fingers, toes and/or appendages off? But Branding, tattooing and piercing is illegal?

Just watch now .... after a bunch of teens get their fingers or hands and feet cut off, some liberal judge will come along and ban that too!

SHEEESSHHH!

Don't we have enough laws already?

Without telling us who we can and who we can not brand?

Branding is not common, and I don't know a single person that performs this other than farmers branding cattle. I can't believe the kid was stupid enough to do it.

Now now trans .... don't be so judgmental.

One generations tattoos are another's face piercings! And one generations face piercings are another's cattle branding!

You may have missed it, but my point is that TODAY it's branding with hot metal objects, tomorrow it may be cutting ones fingers, toes and appendages off!

Amputation is the next logical step in stupid, permanent defacing of ones body!

Tattoos, piercings, branding and then removing fingers, toes, hands, feet, arms and legs. It may stop when all the "cool people" are noting more than shaved tattoo and metal covered heads! LOL!

Oh, heavens to Betsy, I forgot "shoving stuff under ones skin to form various ugly bumps"!

How did I skip that one?

That probably goes after piercings and before branding, or maybe after branding and before "cosmetic amputation"!

Remember .... you heard it here first!

Not to hurt the tattoo parlors business .... but you might want to rethink those expensive "full sleeve" tattoos if you are just going to go along with the fad of cutting your arms or legs off!

Just like some of the extreme tattoos and piercings, cutting your arms and legs off for vanity reasons will also guarantee you never have to work a good working job the rest of your life!

Stony, some people have to tattoo or pierce themselves to make themselves ugly and unappealing. You, on the other hand, are gifted naturally. (TIC!)

Ban it if it was someone else that did it to the boy. However if the boy wants to do it to himself he should be allowed.

Just more political over-reaction.

I agree that we have enough laws already, and that you can't legislate common sense, but both kids are in need of a psychiatric evaluation!
