I went directly to the source and the SPCA does not allow anyone to take more than one dog off the premises at a time, and up until last Friday, they had NO GERMAN SHEPARDS there, (this I already knew b/c I know every dog there) and the one who came in Friday is a GS MIX, who has not been taken out by ANYBODY yet. Also, they have no knowledge of an alleged attact by even one of their dogs, but have also heard the rumor. So we are surmissing that if an incident close to the one (That's supposedly 100% true!) even happened, someone LIED about the ownership of their dogs to cover their azz. Which is pretty low.
Good work Shadow! I'm glad they have that policy too!
This is a good argument for ALWAYS carrying a camera with you when you go ANYWHERE! Some photos of the incident and the dogs involved might have helped.
That makes TWO things I advise people to carry with them in the woods, a gun and a camera! Shoot first, ask questions later! YOU choose what to shoot and when! LOL!

Taking a camera along is a good idea!-----but getting all the Facts First works even better before people point the finger and start ranting and carrying on. You don't need a Concealed permitt to carry a camera do ya??
OK, Truce Stony. But that still doesn't solve the problem of ppl walking and hiking these trails with uncontrolled dogs! It makes the rest of us who are responsible, to worry about a dog coming after ours, or someone shooting a dog. I know a guy who was walking his dog without a leash, and it jumped all over us, getting us muddy. I was on a White Pine hike with several ppl, and b/c two of the women knew this jackazz, they didn't want the rest of us to complain. But I did tell him to leash his dog. Makes ME the badazz I guess! Are there signs clearly posted at Marilla to have dogs on a leash at all times?

Technically, in Pa. you don't need a permit if the gun is not concealed. Stony would be safe from prosecution if he was riding his bicycle, possibly his motorcycle. Not if he was in his car or truck.
I didn't understand that to be a serious post, thought a monkey wrench was being tossed into another one of Shadow's threads, but anyway - adopted or not - this Jerry Lee will wake you up! Boy can that dude hammer those keys!

I did a medical foster for this guy, the SPCA crew named him Lucky after 3 days he was renamed Jerry Lee (after the dog from K9 with Jim Belushi), he would not want to do his physical therapy and grunt just like him. lol.
