The Bradford Era reported on Tuesday, September 11 2012 on the Foster Township monthly meeting:
"At past meetings, residents of Foster Township have also called for a halt of development in and around the intersection until something were done to make it safer."
Mr. Phillips must have missed those meetings. His constituents must mean nothing to him! This intersection needs a TRAFFIC IMPACT STUDY! It is imperative that members of the community contact Foster Township Supervisor John Sullivan @ 368-9193 or Jim Connelly @ 368-6012 to demand a Traffic Impact Study.

You know there is an issue when the Era writes about the intersection and not a resident commented on the subject at the meeting. The Era reported the issue independently. Mr. Riel, why is your brother-in-law, Dale Phillips moving his business to Foster Township? Is it due to you levying 43% tax increase in the city since you have been in office?

Remember when walmart wanted to build in the city? Boy that would have been nice to have those tax dollars come into the city. All going to the township now. Oh, and that holiday in that can't accept reservations because they can't get the occupancy permit because the city denied it because of a potential lawsuit from someone else... Gee, it'd be nice to have those tax dollars too.
All the problems in Foster Township, at least they have some revenue coming in.

Mr. Riel seems to respond to nonsense and not rational and logical questions. Citizen, would you not think that Mr. Riel would defend his record if it were not 43%? It may be more.

Citizen, I do not know what a millage is in the City of Bradford but in 2008 the millage for the City was 11.25 mills.
2009: 14.14 mills - Big increase here!
2010: 14.64 mills
2011: 16.02 mills
2012: 16.02 mills. No need for tax increase here just issue a bond. What percentage was the bond issued at? The above information is from Open Records Request# 354.
Foster Township residents are not interested in these big tax increases!

In reference to the Traffic Impact Study all business's present and future should contribute to the study. Build it and they will come-not if the traffic is a cluster. I have talked to people who avoid Foster Brook due to the intersection. I will travel down the by pass to New York State and double back to get to where I need to go in Foster Brook.

(You know who you are...) New hires? New Emergency vehicles? Huge salaries for our economic development team? What does city hall have planned for our taxes for the coming year? I guess all that economic distress was a figment of my imagination? We must be back in black and not looking back! What a turnaround in a years time! BTW, I see Ross Needick is back in the house!
