Very good point Wolf ..... Other cities may have needed that same said money for something a little more important.

I think rebuilding the bridge is a stupid waste of money. When it was a footbridge, I used it often, but once it was gone, it wasn't didn't create any hardship for anyone. As Stoney wrote, there are two other bridges with walkways. Yes, it is very pretty (the steps to it are a bit overkill, IMO.) However, I am a bit scared of the safety issues. The clientele around Bradford these days isn't the smartest. I just hope some kid being pushed over that bridge in a stroller doesn't end up in the drink while Mama is busy texting.
