I guess it will be the citizen, and not the city official who takes the high road and doesnt make any personal attacks here on BT. This sounds like a classic case of "The guilty flee when none pursue" to me. Maybe it would be easier to listen to your constituents and just take care of the problem.

No problem I told you I would look into it, it may take time, when I started we had 22 and now we have 18 with twice the call volume. Myself and all the guys I work with do care about your concerns, sometimes it just takes us a little longer, but we do not forget about the people we are here to serve and protect. Everyone knows I live in the city myself and see the problems. Any other problems let me know, and so you know I have personally when time allowed sat in the pipe yard to monitor the neighborhood.

I did not know you lived in Bradford, living and working in the city certainly gives you a different perspective. Similar to my living and working at the same location for so many years, it gives me a closer look at what goes on in this neighborhood than most.

When I moved here from Erie (I was a cop in a borough that bordered Erie) I felt I would have a better perspective of the community if I lived there. My thoughts had always been that if I have to raise my children in the community I work in it gives me that much more ambition to do my job.

I love our city PD just because of this. They are good people honestly trying to make a difference. Now if they just had a city government that would back them up we'd be set. Thank you for everything that you do Mike, and I feel much better knowing that I can leave for weeks on business while my wife and children are here and it's men like you that will show up and help if she calls.

Delta inspectors that came into Bradford to help the city save money said we had twice as many police officers as an equally sized city. So did Bradford do any of the recommendations that they suggested, No, Money well spent. Apparently city council knows more than Delta. check the cities fileing for bankruptcy Bradfords next. Put a Tasta Pizza in the neighborhood and this will stop.

Saw a 3 wheeler the other day getting gas at the corner of Elm and Chestnut St. Tried to get some video of him with my camera, but he made to fast of a getaway out Chestnut St.
One would think that if it was made illegal to purchase gas at a station pulling up to the pumps with an ATV or 3 wheeler it would help out with the problem of them being on public street and highways. Just an idea that I think makes sense.

Hey, C5Vette ...... You ain't on bath salts are you?

I'm missing the connection between Bradford going bankrupt from having too many cops and Pizza?

It's unfair to compare Bradford to other, what may be "more normal" cities of equal size, when talking about the number of police.

Unless you factor in the "scummer impact". Our city is what some might say, over run with scummers and THAT fact alone requires many more police!

If you just look at the police per capita ratio, we may be over staffed ..... BUT if you compare how many police we have per capita, including an overwhelming number of scummers and drug dealers ..... THEN it may show we are way under staffed!

Of course there ARE those in this fair city who don't see the "scummer factor" .... or see it and won't admit it ..... BUT if you can get a police officer to candidly tell you the truth about their job ... I'd bet you would hear that *most* of their time is dealing with the scummer element, or scummer issues!

So "the formula" works like this .... If you have a city of 8,000 you need X number of cops .... BUT if you have a city of 8,000 and 5,000 are hard-core scummers you need X times two, plus ten cops!

Our poor cops are doing a great job .... all things considered!
