Paving to start on Seward Ave. this week that being 9-3-12. We are paving all the way to the state line. We put this out to bid in the early spring and its a shame its taken the contractor this long to start. The next time we put a paving project out to bid we will look into some type of time restraint on the bid. The taxpayers should enjoy the privilege of driving on a new road all summer.

The Derrick Road and East Main Street intersection were Foster Township Supervisor, Dale Phillips wants to put his used car lot needs an engineer study completed before he can proceed. Mr. Phillips should be a role model for other business's coming into the Township and contact his own planning commission and see what is required instead of the sneaky practices he has grown accustomed to. Mr Phillips, please contact Penn Dot there waiting on your call.

After seeing the colossal mess an engineering firm made of an intersection in the town where I do most of my shopping, I have no confidence in engineering studies. In this case the engineers and the city officials never vetted the plan with the more than a dozen businesses which would be affected. Now one small business is losing so much they may close and others are hurting badly due to loss of customers who are so inconvenienced by the new traffice pattern and restrictions that they don't shop there anymore. Hurting larger businesses too. Home Depot estimates it will cost them $1.2 million in lost sales. Meanwhile the city officials have dug in their heels and won't admit they made a terrible mistake. I suspect the voters who have been so vocal that restrictions have been put on members of the public speaking at council meetings will be fixing their mistake from the last election in that city in the next election but a few businesses may be gone by then.

Mr. Phillips was way ahead of you. By the time you brought this nonsense up, he had alreday contacted Penn DOT. They were already there and gone. Who said he was moving a car lot there? I think you would be surprised to know some of the potential businesses considering that area of Foster Township right now.

The traffic at the intersection of East Main and Derrick Road doesn't look like it is going to get any better. Behind Tim Horton's looks like someone is building something there, but my understanding they were shut down due to a lack of a traffic study, of course this is speculation since residents don't have any facts due to the lack of transparency in Foster Township.
Another shot in the air. As landlord said, nobody was shut down.
