no wonder the mayor and police let people ride four wheelers down the streets. we may need a new ordinance allowing four wheelers and off road bikes on the city streets. i pity those with nice cars. can they sue the city for suspension or rim and tire damage? hey newt all of the spring and most of the summer went by already and we havent seen any major paving jobs done yet. every other town in the country starts their paving in the spring as soon as weather allows. what is bradford waiting for?
I've been told before, and as a disclaimer I don't know how accurate it is, that if you report a pothole that the city or state has 72 hours or some other time limit to patch it. If any damage occurs to vehicles after that (blown tire, bent rim, broken tie rod, and it can be proven that it was caused by that pothole(document it with photos etc)) then the city/state has to pay for it.
Like I said though I'm not sure just how accurate that is.

It is great how I am reading that people are traveling out to Foster Brook to shop. Main Street Bradford has many nice independent shops that needs the support of the community. Do the shop keepers have to pay that gross business tax on all they sell??

The traffic at the intersection of East Main and Derrick Road doesn't look like it is going to get any better. Behind Tim Horton's looks like someone is building something there, but my understanding they were shut down due to a lack of a traffic study, of course this is speculation since residents don't have any facts due to the lack of transparency in Foster Township.

Patton, Thanks for your concern on the Foster Brook intersection. No one was shut down due to lack of permitting. But there is definately activity taking place on the Derrick Road side of the intersection. At the last Foster Township work session, an attendee asked the supervisors what was going on in regard to the intersection. Supervisor Phillips told this person that he (Philips) is the person who owns the property. I would like to thank Supervisor Phillips for his recent purchase of this property. By doing so, he removed a blighted house from the township. The Foster Township residents will not have to wait for a tax sale to have this blighted house taken care of. As to permitting, I don't know what Mr Phillips' intentions are in regard to his recent purchase, but he is aware of all the necessary permits required to develope that property.
Another car lot is what I heard about the torn down dump site. We need a lead light to turn left onto Derrick Road from the Mall area. As for pulling out of Tim Horten's, I'm suprised an accident has not happened yet!

I thought Supervisor Phillips was aware of the traffic congestion at the intersection since people complain constantly. I believe a highway occupancy permit is required to have any more traffic pulling onto Derrick Road. I have been told that Penn Dot is watching.

good post billy. who cares who is watching? besides the more transparent things are the more honest they tend to be. nothing wrong with public scrutiny. that intersection needs less congestion not more. its a nightmare during busy times. im surprised phillips isnt proposing a shooting range on that property. its right behind the police hang out.
