There are many many shooting ranges right in the middle of cities around the country. Safety is the top priority of these ranges. The location in question I used to play baseball at. And I know of several nice deer taken right in the area too. To call the range dangerous is nothing more than trying to scare the public to gain advantage over someone that you very obviously have a grudge against.

Not true. Both indoor and outdoor ranges all over the country have "safety issues" as in "stray bullet" accidents.
No grudge at all, just that as a responsible gun owner I believe that all ranges should be way out of town where safety is the number one consideration. I don't believe that Tuna Cross is far enough out of town.
I've heard of indoor ranges that had bullets escape through the walls and even irresponsible gun owners stepping out of an indoor range and firring their guns outside of the building for whatever reasons!
Better to have them way out of town, away from people.

I was told one time by a Twp. policeman that I shouldn't have been shooting at woodchucks in my vegetable garden for fear that my 22 cal. rifle's bullet might travel a quarter mile away and strike a car going by on the By-pass. I was shooting in the wrong direction for the bullet to possibly do that unless it "bounced" of the ground, but never the less- No to me then! So no to anyone else now! What wasn't allowed of the goose then, the gander can "screw " himself when the dog is finally getting his day.

Properly constructed ranges are quite safe, especially indoor ranges. If someone is dumb enough to step outside and fire their weapon at an indoor range, they'll probably fire it in their backyard too. I recall one New Year's Eve having the cable TV go out exactly at midnight. Guy around the corner decided to fire his shotgun in the air to celebrate and hit the cable. No shooting range required. Just some dumb guy with poor judgement and maybe a few too many drinks.

Oh now that's an idea! If it's going to be "indoors" it could be an even GREATER WASTE OF MONEY NOW!" I suppose there are all sorts of permits and special regs you need for that. I hope they us lead ammo too, that will cost a ton of money to clean up years from now so we can stick it to our children's children to pay for removal. How "bout just paying a fee to one of the shooting club ranges around the area to use their facility? By the way, some one shot my dog in my back yard "before" the woodchuck incident i spoke of and I was asked by Twp. Policeman in regards to my "dead dog" "Did he bark a lot?" Needless to say, nothing ever became of that investigation. Please spare the lawful and unlawful crap. I guess I just wasn't a "good ole boy".
