Police Commissioner, Dale Phillips intends to put a firing range on Tuna Crossroads next to route 219 and a residential area. Police Commissioner (his title for himself) Dale Phillips, really a Foster Township Supervisor is acting out his own back room deal with himself this time authorizing himself to build a firing range with Foster Township taxpayers money. He may have consulted with Manny Foster or his brother in law, the Mayor of Bradford, but few others know about it. Many taxpayers are asking how does he get this approved when he attends few meetings and has not been seen doing Township business for months. He is definitely a behind the scene guy.

Obviously Jim Connelly knows about it or Billy the Kid wouldn't be barking up a tree. Who pulls the strings of the rag tag Foster Township goon squad? Bunch of poor fools.

Holy cats, that's right next to the field where the kids play baseball and soccer!

When that info becomes common knowledge, there'll be a whole lotta people up in arms about it!

(No pun intended :D )

Newt, nothing worse than a crooked cop.

From your own post you seem confused on more than one point. I wasn't talking or inferring anything about a crooked cop. I was referring to Connelly's goon squad which I hear you are a part of. Attacking the other supervisors with rehearsed questions not based on fact and now on the internet. Secret meetings with Jimbo and his Parrot boy in the township building a day prior to the actual meetings. Spreading lies and misinformation constantly just to keep the pot stirred. Tick tock, tick tock - It will all come out soon I am told. Misinformation is not transparency.

How secret is it when citizens meet at a township hall with a police department right in the building??? Newt, please state the lies and the misinformation in which you are referring to. Is 200 thousand dollars in engineering errors and almost 400 thousand in police budget out of 600 thousand taxpayer base lies. I now know your not a cop - thanks for taking the bait - you goonish fool! I love the movie the goonies - it demonstrated teamwork at the highest level.

I'm with Phantom on this! I can't see any good place off Tuna Cross to put a firing range! Isn't that sort of "in town"?

I love that the internet is such a great place to discuss differing opinions!

"Who has the seedier, sleazier, back room deals, Foster Township or Bradford"?

LOL!

Wasn't the $200k engineering snafu primarily under Connelly's watch and not the 2 newest supervisor's? For a township supervisor to use a township building, as Patton admits, to hold back room meetings to organize citizens to publicly rally against other supervisors fuled by misinformation shows 3 things.

1. He has an axe to grind
2. He doesn't play well with others in authority
3. Citizens of Foster are not being fairly represented

I know that all 3 of them won't always see things the same, but Connelly needs to get over himself and work for the best interest of those who put him where he is or there won't be a repeat performance come election time.

Don't worry Patton, the truth will come out in due time for all to see I am told, not just on here.

Sometimes I get the strange feeling that Newt is actually Riel or a close family member. IDK maybe I'm crazy.

I've talked to several Bradford residents lately that would make all of the above statements about our mayor! They would substitute "Connelly" with "Riel" in the above statements.

Coincidentally, when Tom Riel first ran for mayor, it was Connelly who used to come by to make sure I was going to vote for Riel! ................... "Birds of a feather" I guess!

Two champions of "what's best for the voters/taxpayers/citizens"! Amen!

I hope that both men agree that the best thing for our democracy and local representation is openness and the inclusion of the public in all decisions that effect the tax-paying citizens!

We can't have too much transparency!

Unfortunately we have way too many "back room deals" in both Bradford and Foster Township!

That is why I'm sure both Connelly and Riel are glad we have a "public forum" like this, Bradford Today to explore the issues in depth! More depth than the local media provides!

......................... OH! And how could I forget?....................

Speaking of openness and transparency in local government ........
When is the meeting in Bradford to discuss the reason two houses blew up? We are still waiting for a meeting that was PROMISED a while back (2 years now)!

And, what about the neighborhood watch? Their webpage has not been updated in over a year (who paid for that?) and I'm not sure when the next meeting is?
