not much of a topic but need to know how to insert a video clip within my topic or reply?Anybody?

Greetings ChipperB,

If you want to embed a video clip into a post/reply, I believe it must first be published to YouTube or Funny or Die. You can, however link (just a URL displayed) to just about any other web content you desire.

For example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OPmJVAH3-c (pasted between the youtube & /youtube brackets) would yield this (it's worth a view):

The same holds true for Funny or Die content. “[funnyordievideo] URL HERE [/funnyordievideo]”

I do not believe this site has the capacity to host video or even large format photos.

It is possible to embed other off-site media, (e.g. flickr images...) but you must be able to get BBCode (not just HTML) to make it work right.

There may be others here with a bit more experience on this site that could provide more detail.

Yes, you can show images from anyplace online using the "Img" bbcode tag.
