The new Triana Marcellus well south of Bradford is being flared.

You can see it from the city of Bradford. In some places you may have a very dramatic view of it!

Even though it's further away, it's competition for the ARG flare!

It's late, so here a just a few pics ...... More pics and video tomorrow!

From my post on the GASLAND facebook page:

I just got back from filming the flaring of the Triana well, a new Marcellus well south of Bradford Pa. It's mind boggling how many millions of cubic feet of gas they are just burning off and releasing into the atmosphere! This is one of the biggest flares I've seen so far. Just wasting gas we could be giving to China!

The flames show through the trees!

I really like the sharp focus! And the play of color and shadow in the background sky. A real treatise in how to balance light, darkness, sharp images and subject matter!

Hey Stony, you scooped the Era, they had a picture of it on the front page this morning.

Well, considering it was a cloudy night (Gods fault not mine) (nor would that have been my choice to make it cloudy!), and I filmed this from miles away with a hand held camera ...... in the dark of night ..... it's the best I could do.

I prolly COULD have gotten closer had I chose to breathe the fumes associated with Marcellus Shale Gas flaring! BUT it probably wouldn't be a good idea, what with the endocrine disruptors, carcinogens, and VOC's and all!

I'm not as foolish as those who work around this stuff! I'd rather get bad images from far away, then good pics and CANCER and lung diseases! Or the chance of spontaneously dropping dead!

Well, here is something you can't get in the ERA!

Still photos, moving photos, an original soundtrack, and spot-on political commentary, as well as great environmental insight! All rolled up into one multimedia package!

Enjoy!

(I apologize to Guitar in advance for it not being perfect!)

It gets the point across. Good enough for me. No apology necessary for this. You DO own me an apology for something else you once did, though!
