If my memory serves me, wasn't it "Nash Rambler" at first, and then later in the late 50's they dropped the "Nash" part?
Start googleing Rambler images! I still need the model and the year!
You will find several photos of this exact shape "bullet" or "rocket" on the side.

Actually, without Googling, I can tell you that you have it backwards. The "Rambler" automobile came first, and then when Nash became owner, it became the "Nash Rambler" and then that company became American Motors and the Rambler came back again. I'm not sure of the year, but would say it probably is a 60's model. I had an uncle who had a lot of these cars in his time.
