Bradford people are:

Too heavily taxed to be able to afford a NEW iPad.

Do not care to waste the gasoline (considering the cost) to drive to Buffalo to just buy a computer. Online sales would be much better, as most places ship free for this amount.

Are too busy to take a day off work, vacation, unemployment, hugging a tree (some are too busy) or welfare for something this frivolous.

Are too biased against Apple products.

Personally, I have a Macbook Pro, which does just as good (or better) a job as an IPad, albeit heavier.

Hey, Music man, not insulting you, just pointing out reality!

I was waiting for the 2nd version of the Ipad to come out to get one. It is a nice tax write off for me anyway. I am taking the day off (got 13 more vacation days to use before June) and gas is gas, got to pay it no matter where I go. Plus it gives me the chance to get out of Olean for a few hours and grab a nice dinner that is not a sub shop/pizza place.

I understand the tax write off, my Macbook pro is that also.

Fuel is fuel.. I suppose I waste some if I go out on Friday or Saturday night.

I'd be going to the Beef & Barrel!

What the f**k is an "ipad"?

Sounds like something a Macintosh robot girl would wear between her legs during her re-booting cycle!

I'll be in buffalo on saturday, but it won't be for the newest technogod worship festival. I'm getting something I actually need. (dealing with my boycott on cellphones)

I'm not against Ipods or Ipads, I just can't find any sliver of sanity in buying it on the first day to pay more. No matter when you buy this thing, it's always going to be new to you the first day you get it. Who cares if it's the first day everybody else gets it! (unless of course you are in fierce competition with the Jones family down the road) I have an Ipod touch, I got a semi working one with a severely cracked screen for free, and a totally water damaged one with a good screen for free; mixed and matched the parts and VOILA! Free fully functional Ipod touch! There is no way I would have paid the $300 retail for this thing!

I got in line at the Apple Store at about 3:30PM. There were about 250 ahead of me and when they opened the doors and 5PM there were at least another 700-1000 more behind me. I grabbed 2 Ipads (they would only allow you to buy two). Was fun as I met 3 people from Ontario and we chatted geek the whole time so the wait went by really fast. Glad I went. Grabbed a few pics

MM, I'm glad your trip was successful! Now if you'll just hand that extra Ipad over to me, nobody will get hurt! (just kidding! Too high tech for me! I'm still trying to master the Etch O Sketch)

I think you've hit on something, Shadow! I'll now go through life thinking of an iPad as an Etch-a-Sketch with electrons!
