Yes, once again you are right and I'm wrong.
My differences of opinion with you are not usually of the "right or wrong" variety. I like facts, and with the Mac, well...it's just like your "facts" about Obama's popularity in another thread. Outdated.
Why buy a Mac? The large majority of professional photographers, graphic designers, etc run Macs because the software, speed, and image quality that they need is better than PC's. Although, many PC'snow have quality that rivals all but the high end Macs. And, then, if they want to, they can run anything that is PC based for other or parallel purposes.
I know many folks with PCs and many with Macs. But on a scale of hearing "my computer crashed" is ten times greater with the PCers than Mac users.
And, along the fact lines:
Quote:
Net Applications tracked the Mac OS at 7.3 percent at the end of 2007 and 9.63 percent at the end of 2008, showing more than a 2.6 percentage point jump in only a year for the Mac. In this sense, it doesn't matter if Mac users tend to visit the Wall Street Journal's website more than Linux users. The trend is clearly showing that Mac users, with all their unique browsing habits, are growing steadily.
It's a lot like the Liberals and Conservatives here. It's what you like, what you are used to, and what you think works best.
Unlike yourself, I don't think "the other guys stuff" is necessarily crap.
