Ok, first mystery photo of 2011! Let's see who gets it!

What is this?

Image

For bonus points identify the trees/bushes/plants(?)! It looks like two or possibly three different species.

Have fun!

That looks just like the mug I made for Mom in kindergarten… how did you get it? She used to grow herbs in it—before it disappeared. :?

You mom told me you wouldn't recognize it! LOL!

No, not a mug with herbs in it.

No and no Book 'em ......... What exactly is a "topsy turvy" prehistoric or otherwise?

Do you people need a new hint?

My guess is that when people see this, they may not realize the size it actually is. It may be way different than what you think it is.

Kind of resembles a rock or ceramic planter with ferns growing in it.

Not a planter, however, the plants may be a type of fern. Truth be told I don't know the variety of the plants/trees/bushes/shrubs, but there seems to be three different varieties.

Not rock or ceramic. But for another clue I will say to "simplify" the mystery I hung a white sheet behind this "object" so as not to confuse or reveal what it might be.

Topsy-Turvy...you know...the upside down planter that grows bushels of tomatoes out of the bottom. This looks like the prehistoric variety :D

No, no topsy turvy.

This wasn't exactly designed to be a planter. It's much more technical than that.
