Must I remind everybody that for the past way over a hundred years, gangs of white people all over this country hunted down and beat, tortured, and murdered black people just because they were black. And the vast majority of those perpetrators of hate crimes were never prosecuted.
I think some of you conveniently forget what country we are in or what planet we are on!
Put it in proper perspective. Look at the big picture.
So now black people get "a free pass"?! I don't know about you, but I wasn't around over 100 years ago. (close though...) Like Flashback posted...wrong then, wrong NOW! What is the "Big Picture"? I don't attack people today b/c my Irish ancestors were treated like crap over 100 years ago.

I whole-heartedly agree that it was wrong when it was white on black, and black on white hate crimes are wrong as well.
What I tried to point out is that we tolerated, at the least and in some cases thought it was funny when white people or gangs of white people (like the Klan) attacked, beat, tortured, and killed black people. This happened for over 150 years in this country.
I'd guess there is a very large backlog in every state of the union of unsolved "hate crimes" against black people.
Now that we have a reverse of the situation, we absolutely solve the case nearly instantly in all cases! Now, every time a black person (like this 16 year old kid) indicates their crime was racially motivated against whites, they are tracked down and thrown in jail.
There is/was a blatant, double standard here.
Even when blacks attack whites in a "black controlled city" like Philly, the cops still go after and arrest the black suspects. Not the same as down south in white controlled areas when whites attack blacks for no reason other than race.
Shadow, the big picture is that our justice system is VERY unbalanced when it comes to race. Look at the percentage of prison populations that are black compared to white. I rest my case!
I can even bring it home locally if you want ........ Look how many black drug dealers in this town have been busted in the past few years. And we all know of "white guys" who have been dealing drugs in this town since the 70's who are yet to be busted! Explain that.
Crime is crime and all should be punished *equally* for what they do. Both black and white, when it's a racially motivated hate crime especially.
But we live in a society, like it or not, that "looked the other way" for all the years it was white on black hate crimes, and now that there are a few examples of black on white hate crimes, it's blown out of proportion.
Just like all the long time, hard-core, white drug dealers in town who never have, nor ever will be busted, but God help any black guy from Buffalo with a bag of weed in their pocket!

You can't retroactively apply laws Stony. History is something to learn from, not punish. You go back in the histories of any country and you'll find many many things that we wouldn't tolerate today. You don't punish the children of today for the sins of their fathers. Do we now file charges against blacks for kidnapping and enslaving blacks before selling them to white slave traders? Do we punish German school kids for Hitler's actions? Do we punish Christians for the persecutions of the millions? No, we don't. We learn from the past and correct as needed.

Flash, I agree to a point, and thanks for posting that great youtube that makes my point exactly.
I'm not saying we have to go back in time and retroactively prosecute whites for crimes against blacks, I'm sure we have hundreds or thousands of current cases that are "overlooked".

God is not in the drug trade, so I won't be asking him to help the black guy with the pocket o weed. Or a white guy either. Nobody is twisting your words Stony. We don't have to. And we don't need more drug dealers in this town, Black or white. Seems the darker ones don't have a regular job anyway.

Short version - thanks to government regulations and the mamby-pamby society prevalent in our country, racism is alive and well. The current spate of black mob violence isn't related to anything other than racist black people knowing that they get a free pass by acting in large groups.
