Pitt-Bradford plans open houses for high school students and families

BRADFORD, Pa. — High school students who are considering studying at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford can meet faculty, tour campus and learn about student life, admissions and financial aid at one of several events planned this semester.

Open houses are scheduled for Oct. 24 and Nov. 7. A third open house will be held on Jan. 23, 2016.

Open houses begin at 12:30 p.m. with an opportunity to speak with faculty in areas of interest in the Frame-Westerberg Commons on Campus. During the open house on Nov. 7, Dr. John Crawford, professor of business management, will speak about college academics. On Oct. 24 and Jan. 23, Don Lewicki, director of the Computer Information Systems and Technology program, will speak.

Also, during each open house, prospective students and parents will hear from and can ask questions of a panel of current students.

For those unable to make a Saturday open house, First Friday sessions Nov. 6 and Dec. 4 include a presentation, a campus tour conducted by a student ambassador and lunch in the KOA Dining Hall on campus. First Friday programs begin at 10 a.m.

To reserve a spot for either program, call the admissions office at 800-872-1787 or visit www.upb.pitt.edu/visit/
