Mary Lanor “Norie” Dougherty, 83, a lifelong Kane resident, passed away Tuesday (March 3, 2015) at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born March 28, 1931, in Kane, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Pearl Johnston Dougherty.
Norie had been employed for many years at the Kane Manor and also at the former Hillcrest Restaurant. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are a brother, Robert Dougherty of Kane; two sisters, her twin Mary L. Craig of San Bernadino, CA and Marie Swanson of Kane; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by two brothers, Jack Dougherty and William Dougherty; and three sisters, Katherine Nordahl, Winifred Smiley and Margaret D. Anderson.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
The Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
