Important Update for Bradford City Water Authority Customers

From Rep. Martin Causer’s Office: Significant progress has been made during the last 24 hours as Bradford City Water Authority crews have successfully repaired the broken water line and have started slowly moving water through system.

Although more people are seeing some level of water service restored at their homes, it is vital that you continue to conserve water.

Also, if you are using water for activities such as cooking, drinking or brushing teeth, the boil water advisory remains in effect. In fact, water authority officials say the advisory may continue for the next week to 10 days.

If you are in need of water, it is available at the following locations, per Bradford Police:
– Bradford City Fire Department on Chestnut Street
– Bradford Township Fire Station on West Washington Street
– Derrick City Fire Station on Derrick Road
– Lewis Run Fire Station.

Individuals picking up water must provide a valid identification of residency or a current water bill. Initial distribution will be limited to one case per household. If you are unable to make arrangements to pick up water, you may call the fire department at 814-368-3141 or 814-368-6746 to request assistance.

For other questions or concerns, the command center may be reached at 814-368-6276.

Also, the American Red Cross shelter remains open at Sawyer Evangelical Church, located at the intersection of South Kendall Ave and Looker Mountain Trail.

I again want to commend our county and local officials, water authority crews, UPB maintenance crews, firefighters, police and others who are working so hard to resolve this situation and get our water system back to normal as soon as possible.
