Pitt-Bradford to hold open house

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s office of admissions will hold an open house Nov. 1.

The open house is designed to give prospective students and their families the opportunity to visit and tour the campus and learn more about the academic programs, student life and co-curricular activities Pitt-Bradford has to offer.

Registration begins at noon in the lobby of the Frame-Westerberg Commons, where faculty will meet with participants to talk about various academic programs until 1p.m.

There will also be a discussion of college academics led by Dr. Donna Dombek, director of education and associate professor of early level education, at 1:15p.m. in Bromeley Theater in Blaisdell Hall.

Following Dombek’s presentation, a student life panel comprised of current students will speak with prospective students and their parents to talk about student life on campus. Student ambassadors will conduct campus tours, and Alex Nazemetz, director of admissions, will explain the admissions process.

The office of admissions will also host a visitation day and First Friday information sessions during the months of November and December for prospective students.

First Fridays will be held Nov. 7 and Dec. 5, and the visitation day is planned for Nov. 10.
For all those who apply, the application fee of $45 will be waived.

Prospective students can register for the November open house, first Friday or a visitation day online at www.upb.pitt.edu/visit or call the admissions office at 800-872-1787.
