Southern Tier Symphony to present ‘Curtain Up!’ at Pitt-Bradford

BRADFORD, Pa. — The Southern Tier Symphony will perform “Curtain Up!” featuring selections from Mozart’s “Magic Flute,” Beethoven’s “Egmont Overture,” and Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet,” among others at 3 p.m. Sept. 28 in the Bromeley Family Theater in Blaisdell Hall.

Tickets for the event are $20 for the public and free for all students.

Dr. David Rudge, who has led orchestras on five continents, including those in the Czech Republic, Italy, Egypt and Bulgaria, directs the symphony. He has performed with or conducted a host of platinum artists, such as Yo-Yo Ma, Max Rudolf, Fredell Lack, Yumi Ninomiya, Jeffrey Khaner, David Kim and Elizabeth Hainen. Rudge has taught at Oklahoma State University, the University of South Carolina, Colby College, the Hartt School of Music and the Omega Institute of Holistic Studies in New York.
